-23.2°C in Chamonix this morning: at two degrees from the record, info by Accommodation Chamonix

Last night, from Saturday to Sunday, Météo France services in Chamonix identified freezing temperatures up to -23.2°C. A number that does not beat the record for February (-25.4°C) established in 1966, but it's strongly close.
 
Let us recall that this information is registered at the station of Météo France, near the Bois du Bouchet, under shelter.
 

Swiss motorway vignette up by 3 €, Chalets in Chamonix

It has been confirmed today that if you wish to drive on the Swiss motorways, it will cost you 34.50 euros instead of the present 31.50 euros.

This sticker allows you to drive on motorways and toll-roads in Switzerland. If you're caught driving without one on the motorway (eg the motorway to Geneva airport), you will be liable to a fine of 85 euros in addition to the price of the vignette.

COSMOJAZZ FESTIVAL, from 27 to 31 July 2011

July 2010, the 1st edition of the Festival Cosmojazz in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc: objective, transform the most beautiful high altitude sites and streets of Chamonix into concert places.
During 3 days places like the Mer de Glace, Plan Praz or the Aiguille du Midi have become places to enjoy and pay tribute to the music having as a background the Mont Blanc.
